Spiritual Spark πŸ”₯
"Do not lord it over those in your charge, but be examples to the flock" (1 Pet 5:3).
A famous quote of Mother Theresa states: "It's very easy to give example, but it's very difficult to become an example!!!" Today we celebrate the feast of the Chair of St. Peter, which celebrates the authority given by Jesus to Peter to be the shepherd, i.e. to be the leader of his Church.
Simon was a very impetuous person. He wasn't steady, but he was given the name "Peter", which means rock. He knew his weakness, but he also knew the strength and solidness belongs to the Lord! St. Peter used his authority for service and became an example of love and sacrifice for the early Church.
Let us all carry out our leadership in the footsteps of St. Peter and become examples of loving service and not become authoritarian!
Good day and God bless us all! πŸ™πŸΌπŸšΈ
