Spiritual Spark πŸ”₯
"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you" (Jam 4:10).
"Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all" (Mk 9:35).
Today's both the readings focus on humility. The disciples of Jesus were arguing among themselves who was the greatest among them. In their hearts they were desiring and coveting to be the greatest.
In the eyes of the world, the greatest are those who are the richest, most powerful, most smart and charming. But in the eyes of God things are completely different.
The about two quotes explain how God exalts those who humble themselves and how we can be the leaders by becoming servants. This teaching is diametrically opposed to the worldly teaching.
Let us give up our pride and become humble before God and others because "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (Jam 4:6)!
Good day and God bless us all! πŸ™πŸΌπŸŒΎ
