Spiritual Spark πŸ”₯
"Insults have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none" (Ps 69:20).
In this holy week, from Monday onwards, we have been hearing the readings from the suffering servant songs of Isaiah. The responsorial psalms responding to these readings are psalms of lament. The holy week and especially the overwhelming Pandemic is an opportune time to pray the psalms of lament.
Many of us are in relatively better and safer conditions. We have most of the necessary things with us. We have our loved ones near us. We have the support of family and friends.
However, there are millions of people, who are going through untold sufferings. Many are insulted, blamed unnecessarily, targeted. Many don't have enough to eat. They can't take care of their hygiene. Many, because of their profession, are at high risk and living constantly under fear. These are the suffering servants of God in today's world. Let us try our best to alleviate their suffering!
Good day and God bless us all! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’
