Spiritual Spark π₯
Jesus said to his disciples, "Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet; see that it is I myself. Touch me and see" (Lk 24:38-39).
The resurrected Jesus has a trademark greeting: "peace be with you!" However, even after receiving this greeting and even after experiencing the presence of the Risen Lord in their midst, the reaction of disciples is quite negative.
They are not filled with peace and joy; they are instead frightened and doubtful. The disciples find it difficult to recognise the Risen Lord. However, the easiest way to recognise Jesus is through the mark of his wounds.
The Risen Lord lets the scars of the nails remain on his body as his identifying marks. They are the signs of his fight and his victory. We who believe in the Resurrection, let us not be afraid of the wounds, because one day they will be our signs of victory!
Good day and God bless us all! ππΌ✌πΌ
