Spiritual Speak 🔥
"I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. The Lord has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death" (Ps 118:17-18).
Ps 118 is the psalm often used in the Easter times. It is the last of the Great Hallel (praise) psalms sung at the passover festival of Jews (Pss 113-118). This psalm was the favourite psalm of Martin Luther and Ps 118:17 is the central message of the psalm, giving us a renewed hope.
Martin Luther wrote about this psalm: "the dying live; the suffering rejoice; the fallen rise; the disgraced are honoured." There is a message of optimism and hope.
It is true that people are getting sick and dying all over the world. However, as long as humanity, brotherhood, care and compassion for each other are present among us, God is working in us. We believe that by God's grace, we will overcome this crisis! We will live and become agents of life for others!
Good day and God bless us all! 🙏🏼🌱
