Spiritual Spark π₯
"Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!" (Ps 118:15).
Salvation (Hebrew word yeshuah) and success (Hebrew word tsalakh) are very important human needs. Salvation is a term, which although has a very strong spiritual connotation in the New Testament, refers to the rescue from enemies and receiving healing from sickness in the Old Testament. Salvation is thus total wellbeing, physical as well as spiritual.
Ps 118:25 is a very important verse in the Bible because the important word "Hosanna" appears only once in Hebrew and that is in this verse. It is interesting to note that "Hosanna" (in Hebrew "Hoshia na"), which was originally a cry for help, turned later to an expression of adoration, praise, or joy.
This transformation took place because of the strong faith of the believer. When we cry out to God for help, we are almost certain that the salvation is sure to come! Hosanna!
Good day and God bless us all! ππΌπ
