"Behold, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel" (Is 7:14).
"For nothing is impossible with God" (Lk 1:37).

Today we celebrate the solemn feast of Annunciation. On this important feast day, although Christians cannot visit the Churches for mass, they are encouraged to attend the Eucharistic ceremony online in their own homes with their family members.

This feast day is also the day of international pro-life celebration: the International Day of the Unborn Child. The term "missing women" was coined by the Indian Nobel Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen in 1990. According to him, more than a hundred million women were "missing" mostly because of the selective abortion of female foetuses.

Today let us especially pray for the pregnant women in these difficult times! May God and Mother Mary bless them and protect them!
