Spiritual Spark πŸ”₯
"When you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there before altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift" (Mt 5:23-24).
How difficult to put into practice, this teaching of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount! At the same time, how urgent and relevant is this teaching for our time! Reconciliation is indeed the need of the hour.
An atmosphere of fear, distrust, suspicion and hatred is growing in our beloved country India. It is sad to witness the seeds of hatred sown into the hearts of people in the name of religion.
The word religion is derived from the Latin word "religare" i.e. to bind together. But unfortunately religions are becoming instruments of division. In this background, we need to turn to the ethical teachings of religion calling the believed for peace and reconciliation.
We cannot be reconciled with God before first getting reconciled with our brothers and sisters irrespective of their religion, caste, creed, color or race!
Good day and God bless us all! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ€πŸΌ
